Wedding Photography in Las Vegas - Weddings, Bridal Photos, Engagements, Families, Kids, Portraits, and Events.-
August 3rd, 2009UncategorizedDonovan and Jessica are great! We very much enjoyed working with them for both Disc Jockey and Photography - AND, after the wedding, Jessica and her mom helped us find a new house here in Las Vegas!
A couple pre-wedding photos:
These two photos use my “Alice in Wonderland” special processing - really saturated color.
First Dance:
And a short post-wedding session:
This one, with Jessica’s permission… she made these “bloomers”.. pretty cool!

March 13th, 2009WeddingsChelsea and Mike are such a cute couple! You could just SEE the love in their eyes. And they were SO relaxed… even after Mike’s button popped off literally seconds before the ceremony!
It was a very bright and sunny day, with an outside ceremony in the very beautiful lawn area outside the Lodge at JW Marriott. Here’s 10 of my faves!
Isn’t Chelsea absolutely gorgeous?!? I just LOVE the natural sunlight, and her bouquet was absolutely amazing.
Here’s a fun shot that I do when we have a nice mirror. It’s cool to show off the ring as well as the bride’s smile.
Then, once the button was fixed, it was time for the ceremony. She’s just glowing!
I’ve posted a lot of ceremony shots lately so I’ll skip those on this one… moving on to post-wedding “formals” and posed photos.
Didn’t have to do much processing with this one, Chelsea’s eyes were amazing and I wanted this one to be as natural as possible…
A fun candid moment. What a cute expression!
I love it when I can do this shot - it takes a beautiful dress and an outside location but it’s always a beautiful photo.
Chelsea and Mike had a lot of fun at their reception, using DJ Larry from D. Jay’s Entertainment.
I love cake cutting photos, and I was able to get a really neat angle on this one.
I’d love to show all of the 750+ photos I took in this 4-hour event, but there’s just not room! I hope everyone enjoys the photos as much as I enjoyed working with Chelsea and Mike!

February 26th, 2009WeddingsAs I mentioned a while back, my company is the in-house wedding photography company for Texas Station’s chapel here in Las Vegas. I shoot there whenever I can, but I usually am working with my clients that have all-day packages and one of my assistants shoots these events.
Texas Station clients typically are 15 to 20 minutes of photos of the bride and groom prior to the ceremony, an 8 to 10-minute ceremony and 20 minutes for formals. Even so, I believe we offer MUCH more than the typical “chapel” wedding photographer. We don’t limit poses or number of photos taken. We don’t hard-sell an $800 disc-of-images or 8×10 prints for $100. We don’t do cookie-cutter pictures with every bride (of course we do the standards but we also try to do more creative stuff). We even get photos of the signing of the marriage license. And, we do our trademark “special processing” to them, too!
Anyway, I did end up working with Heather and Darren, and I am so glad I did! They are such a cute couple, and SO FUN! This blog is a bit atypical - you’re going to see some “blooper” type photos, but really what you’ll see are Heather and Darren being relaxed.
Before I show the fun stuff, I did want to post two pre-ceremony photos… they have a cool mirror where we always get some nice creative photos:
The little flowergirl was VERY shy of the camera, but I got this precious photo:
The ringbearer, on the other hand, was NOT shy… what a ham!
These next three photos prove that minor “mistakes” can happen at a wedding ceremony but if you just go with the flow, everything will be fine! Remember, the most important part of your wedding day is saying two words: “I Do.” Anything after that is icing on the cake!
It happens: Flowergirl won’t walk down the aisle! So, pick her up, and drop the flowers yourself!
Heather was tearing up a bit, so she grabbed the first thing she could - her brother’s handkerchief! Don’t worry, it’s a rental!
They did a unity candle, and after they lit the center candle the officiant said, “The outer candles stay lit…” just as they both BLEW THEM OUT! This got a HUGE laugh from everyone, and Heather and Darrin took it in stride - relighting their candles.
Here’s two photos from the “formals”. Ok, so the first one isn’t typical.. but the 2nd one is!
Heather asked if I could stay for a few hours at the reception so we worked everything out and I stuck around. Got another 450+ shots at the reception, and here’s three that really reflect the fun of the evening:
Thanks guys! Had a blast and hope you did too!

Jeremy and I knew within 10 seconds of Dean and Jennifer walking into our office that they would become clients - and be almost like family… Dean saw our Subaru STI (photos of the car at Red Rock Canyon can be seen by clicking on that link) parked outside of the office and commented on how he is also a “car guy”. And, after an hour or so (the first 30 minutes spent talking about cars!) we were booked for DJ and Photography!
Anyway, to the event! I spent the pre-ceremony time with Jennifer in their top-floor suite overlooking the mountains and golf course. By the way, the Suncoast Hotel and Casino is a great place to have a wedding and reception! Here’s a couple from there:
At the same time, Jeremy was “2nd shooting” with Dean (Kirk, as his friends call him) in the ceremony room. This is one big benefit of having two photographers, and an even bigger benefit of having one female and one male photographer - the groom and groomsmen tend to be a little more “loose” and relaxed. Here’s a compilation we know Dean will love. Keep in mind, Jeremy DID get “formal” shots, but how priceless are these semi-formal moments for a groom?!? Brides love to see these too, because a lot of photographers neglect photos of the groom…
You’ll want to click on this one, just like you can with any of my blog photos, to see a larger version…
Need more convincing that you should have 2 photographers? These two photos were taken at exactly the same second! Jeremy got Jennifer and her dad, and I got Dean and Jason (the best man).
We were also able to take our new toys (the off-camera flashes that I mentioned a few posts back). Jeremy’s camera was wireless to those flashes and I used on-camera during the ceremony. So, look back up at the groomsmen photos, notice the great depth and clarity that we can get with off-camera flash!
And here’s another that Jeremy got, see the almost 3-D effect that the multiple off-camera flashes create?
After the ceremony, it was decided that we’d head down to the pool area for all the “formals”. We were all-for this idea since we knew then we wouldn’t have to do the boring stand-up-straight-in-front-of-the-altar shots… and we knew that Dean and Jennifer weren’t that type of couple!
The problem was, we didn’t have too much time, and even though it is Las Vegas it was COLD outside… so, with the great help of the groomsmen and a couple others, we were able to take all the equipment to the pool for proper lighting (it was dark!). We had to get a few photos on the curved stairway…
And of course we got all the “formals”, but this blog is already getting too long! Here’s one of our “signature” photos…
At the reception… Dean really hammed it up for the Garter Pull!
The above photo was with the off-camera flashes and I can’t say enough how pleased I am with the improvement in quality simply from those flashes! For the heck-of-it, we took two photos within a few seconds of each other. Same camera model, same lens model, but one is on-camera flash, and the other is off-camera flash…
Now, with the new off-camera flashes… both photos are good, but this one is several levels above!
Two more… first my “signature” party-photo:
And, taken around the same time by Jeremy, the “behind the scenes” version (yes, I am laying on the floor in the center of that mob)!
We ended up with a bit over 1100 “keeper” photos for Dean and Jennifer. And, we ended up with some great memories of a super couple! I love being a Photographer in Las Vegas!

December 10th, 2008UncategorizedWe met Jeremy and Dee Dee almost a year ago and have been working with them for their wedding since then. What a cool couple! DeeDee is beautiful and Jeremy is quite a looker, too! Wendhy and I shot this event, and we had a blast. Below are a few of our favorites!
Note: I seem to be having some issues with image quality with the newest update of WordPress. The fuzzy images are due to the compression by WordPress, so click on the image to see the larger, clearer image! Plus you get to see my new plug-in that displays the photo in cool Flash-based pop-up thingamagig!
The groomsmen and Jeremy (in the white shoes, of course) relaxing before the ceremony:
Technically this one was taken after DeeDee arrived, but I was in the “groomsmen” groove…
DeeDee’s arrival, taken from a “2nd Photographer” perspective. For those brides that I talk about using a 2nd Photographer, this is what I mean… great pics, but from a completely different perspective!
Both of us were shooting from about the same spot for this one, matter of fact I don’t recall which one of us took this actual shot!
An old-photo style processing for this one, PLEASE click to see the larger version, the compression by WordPress really made this one blurry in thumbnail view!
Close-up of some details; dress and bouquet - using only available light (no flash):
One from the ceremony… FIRST KISS!
After the ceremony, we shot around 1000 pictures at the reception, and they came out great… but I’ve posted too many “party” shots lately so I’m sticking with the wedding-related ones this time!

November 24th, 2008BraggingLas Vegas Wedding Photography is so fun! People get married in Las Vegas all the time. As a Wedding Photographer, I get to see brides and grooms get married in Las Vegas… we tour the Las Vegas Strip… we take photos during the marriage at Chapels and Churches… I get to attend Wedding Receptions and take pictures of guests dancing and having fun. I get to do Engagement Sessions at beautiful locations such as Red Rock, Lake Las Vegas, and other places before the wedding.
Photography in Las Vegas is so different from anywhere else. From the man-made beauty to the vast natural beauty - there’s always something amazing to take photos of.
But my favorite part are the great people.. the brides and the grooms who get married in Las Vegas! Every day I am thankful for being able to be a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer. I enjoy getting feedback from my wedding couples. I love helping to capture the moments and preserving them “for eternity”.
I want my clients to know that every time I snap the shutter, I am thinking about how they will look at the photo years down the road. I truly love my clients and always do my best to make sure they are given more than they expect. I strive to over-deliver for every client… that’s my way to “give back” to them for allowing me to do my “job”, which is more fun than work.
Happy Thanksgiving from Las Vegas Photographer TiffanyG!
