Wedding Photography in Las Vegas - Weddings, Bridal Photos, Engagements, Families, Kids, Portraits, and Events.-
August 1st, 2009Strip Photography Tour, WeddingsSteve and Brittany were married in a Chapel in Las Vegas and then hired us to do some photos on the Las Vegas Strip. Lynn did this event and got some amazing shots. As you can see, we did the post-processing so the final style is very close to my style.
All these photos were taken outside of the Paris, in around 20 minutes, and there are a lot more than this!
Steve and Brittany met as cheerleaders, so they wanted to do a cool pose!
Steve and Brittany are such a great a great couple and were just SO cute together! Thanks guys for letting us be a part of your day!

April 21st, 2009Strip Photography Tour, WeddingsI’ve done wedding photos at Little Church of the West several times. They are really nice over there, since they do let “outside” photographers into their Chapel (that’s not the norm in Las Vegas). There are some restrictions but we work within those and get some nice shots.
For this shoot, I decided to treat Jim and Nikki (an AWESOME couple that came all the way from England!) to a “theme”. Since the Little Church has been around since the 1940’s, and in “Las Vegas History” that’s almost the “Old West” times - I decided to process the photos with a very “Old West” theme. Yes of course they get the “regular” ones too, but I thought it would be cool to do this theme.
Here’s a few from the series, don’t forget to click for the larger size and to see the details like the film grain, etc.:
Obviously I didn’t do ALL of the photos in that style… Nikki is a beautiful red-head with amazing blue eyes so I had to do at least one shot that really showed off those features:
And here’s the two of them on the grounds of the Chapel:
Then we hopped in the limo for a Strip Tour. Jim had this cool hat and I had an idea… old Vegas “Sinatra Style”! I found some old pics of Sinatra and they had this highly-saturated, greenish-tint (sort of a Lomo look) so I emulated that for this photo.
And that was all good until Jeremy took it a step further in post-processing. The Zumanity sign really detracted from the photo, and he wanted more of the early 1940’s Sinatra look (since that’s when he first played Vegas). So he did a simple Antique look, and added a lot of film grain… but he also did something else… look closely!
Anyway, we thought it was fun!
Then it was off to the Venetian for a bunch of photos. I really liked this one.
And finally, whenever there’s something that is special to my bride and groom, I always try to get some photos (obviously!). Rings, of course.. but for this one there were cuff-links. These were given to Jim by his grandfather (posthumously) specifically to wear at his wedding.
I have to say, I really enjoy working with ALL brides, but for some reason the ones that come from Europe are especially fun. Jim and Nikki were no exception - I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and their entourage. And I know the feeling is mutual because of the great email that they sent after seeing their proofs! Thanks guys, and congratulations!

I recently shot a very challenging Vegas wedding ceremony at the Little Church of the West. First, I want to say this chapel is very beautiful and has a lot of history, I would recommend it to a bride looking for a “rustic” type wedding in Las Vegas.
That said, as with almost all Chapels, they are restrictive on outside photographers. The good thing is they DO allow the bride and groom to hire an outside photographer (most don’t allow it at all)… the bad thing is the photographer cannot stand up and must shoot from their seat. So, varying angles and the “best shot” isn’t always possible.
Rodlyn and Alex were OK with this and knew the restrictions. I am proud to say that I was able to capture some pretty good shots of the ceremony, given the situation.
This is pretty much the angle I had during the ceremony so there’s no reason to blog a ton of photos, but the ring shot came out pretty nice:
I got a little creative/artistic with some close-ups and processing, I tried a reverse-vignette on this one (honestly I’m not 100% sure the reverse vignette “works” so I of course will provide 2 versions to Rodlyn and Alex… feel free to click on the Comment link below and let me know what YOU think!
After the ceremony (and a few nice first-kiss shots), I rushed outside to get their exit, and was able to capture this nice one:
We had some time to do some posed shots outside, here’s one of my personal faves…
Then, it was off to the Luxor Buffet where they had reserved a private room and a cake. I was very impressed with the cake, and since I haven’t posted a cake photo since March, I figured I’d show it to my blog readers!
This shot, I know Alex isn’t smiling but I really love the implied emotion, the contemplating, the quiet moment after the ceremony…
I enjoyed shooting with Rodlyn and Alex, and welcome “challenging” shoots such as the one at Little Church of the West. Thanks guys!
