Las Vegas Texas Station Wedding Photography – Djamal and Sarah
2
Either myself or one of my assistants (Joey or Wendhy) or sometimes Jeremy shoots wedding photography at the Chapel at Texas Station in Las Vegas. We offer an upgraded wedding photo package and can bundle reception photography and one of D. Jay’s Entertainment’s Disc Jockeys and save the brides and grooms some money while still getting them award-winning service.
This shoot was done by Joey and the photos edited here by us in our office. I am very proud to be working with Joey, who does a great job. His style is different than mine but that’s not a bad thing… different brides want different styles, and after hearing from Sarah’s mom, Joey was a perfect match for this couple!
Djamal and Sarah are very down-to-earth people, and were very non-traditional… with the exception of Sarahs absolutely beautiful dress with a bit of a nature theme:
Joey captured a very cool “ring shot” that incorporated the flowers AND the stylish shoes that they wore!
A nice moment that we hope everyone will like, shows the great detail in the dress plus the beautiful flowers and the tender hand-holding during the ceremony:
It’s kind of funny, grooms tend to shy away from the camera but at the least are very difficult to capture in a “tender” moment. Joey got this one spot-on! I betcha Sarah will melt when she sees the love portrayed in this photo!
At the same time, Djamal and Sarah were very fun and (as I mentioned earlier), very non-traditional… I liked this photo because it reminds us that it’s OK to have fun during the ceremony. Yes, it’s an important occasion but that doesn’t mean you can’t smile and maybe even laugh a little (plus, it helps us photographers to get better pics!)
A nicely-posed “formal” shot after the wedding (they didn’t want a lot of formal stuff), I think the expressions are priceless!
This one proves that you don’t ALWAYS have to smile to create a mood. This is a very non-traditional pose but it really works… look into Djamal’s eyes, you can see confidence and love, but also maybe a touch of nervousness and inward-thinking after taking on the great responsibility of becoming a husband. Sarah seems extremely content, comfortable on the shoulder of her new husband. in my opinion, this is one of those photos that is very much open to interpretation, and I’m sure everyone who looks at this photo will interpret it differently… by the way, does anyone see a bit of a Mona Lisa-esque smile on Djamal’s face?
Joey caught Sarah in a very emotional embrace after the ceremony. She’s smiling but you can see a hint of tears welling up…. PERFECT timing!
Another tender moment, this time during the first dance.
All-in-all we were able to provide about 575 photos from this event (pre-ceremony through the reception). Thanks to Joey for his work on this job, and to Sarah, Djamal, and Sarah’s mom for allowing us to be a part of their big day!
