Dan and Tamaira asked me to shoot their reception for “about an hour” and ended up keeping me for a little over 2 hours. Receptions at Cheeseburger Las Vegas (inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood) are so fun. Usually I’m shooting with one of the Disc Jockeys from D. Jay’s Entertainment who always keep everyone dancing.
Tamaira looked amazing that night, and I know I’ve shown a bunch of “Vintage” shots lately but her dress and veil just BEGGED to be processed in a Vintage look! Remember, you can click on any of my blog photos to see a larger version.
Dan wasn’t so shabby, either! And he sure was happy!
She just wouldn’t stop smiling, even when I was shooting her beautiful ring!
My job was just to get shots of the guests and the dancing (which I did) but I of course I tried to give Dan and Tamaira a little bit more… we were able to go out into the Miracle Mile Shops for some more “posed” shots… this is one of a series of about 10-12 unique ones.
I snuck this more candid one towards the end of the night, isn’t she adorable?
Thank you Dan and Tamaira, it was a blast!

We just returned from Phoenix after winning the very prestigious 2008 WeddingMBA “Creme de la Creme” Award! This is our 2nd National Award (we won TheKnot Pick for Best of Weddings in 2007).

I am excited about this award because it was ONE OF ONLY 20 AWARDS given from ALL wedding vendors in the USA! Yes, we were 1 of 20 award-winners in the entire US!
This award was won after OUR BRIDES nominated us, and then we went thru a review process to win the award. The award is not tied to any advertising (WeddingMBA is an industry education organization, there is no advertising involved).
THANK YOU to our Brides who nominated us for this award, and who have helped us to become Las Vegas Most Award-Winning and Highest-Rated DJ/Photography Company!

Ok, first off I do have to say “Go Blue”, but Sarah and Aaron are AWESOME (even if they are OSU Fans)! Sarah looked stunning and after looking through over 450 “keeper” photos from this 4-hour reception, I don’t think there’s any photo where she isn’t absolutely glowing with joy.
Also, for those wondering why the big scarlet-colored frames around each photo? Well, of course that’s OSU’s color (and, for all of you really uptight fans, I used the actual web-safe hexadecimal #990000 color that OSU’s own website specifies)!
I’m not a big fan of “selective color” but I thought it worked well in this simple shot – with OSU’s Scarlet in the hearts:
Isn’t she beautiful?
I captured about a dozen really great first-dance shots, it was hard choosing which one to post but this one was my personal favorite. Look at the emotion!
Jeremy from D. Jay’s Entertainment was the DJ and had people on the dance floor all night, he says it was with the help of his “super-duper disco light” but I think it was his great music choice and a fun group of people!
As frequent readers of my blog know, Jeremy is also my husband, and a darn good photographer – he used my camera when someone asked me to use their point-and-shoot to take a picture for them… yes, that’s my head on the right – so now you have a “photo of the photographer”!
After a long night, Sarah was still smiling and looking at Aaron.
It was an absolute joy working with Sarah and Aaron. I hope you enjoyed this small sample of their photos!

I’m so excited I had to post this… Remember Evan and Sarah? Well, they were so pleased with their engagement session that they’ve hired us to travel to California in the Spring to shoot their pre-wedding, wedding, and reception photos! Jeremy will also be the DJ/MC for their reception.
We can’t wait, the wedding will be a BEACH wedding and we are both going to shoot during the ceremony. Jeremy will hang out before the wedding taking pictures with Evan and his groomsmen, and I’ll take care of Sarah’s pre-wedding photos. We’re still working out the details but we may go the day before the wedding and cover the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. We are also trying to talk Sarah into a trash-the-dress on the beach… Sarah?
